Recitalo

Privacy policy

Recitalo app · Effective 3 November 2026

In short: Recitalo does not collect, store or share any of your personal information. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking. Everything you create stays on your phone unless you choose to export or back it up.

Who we are

Recitalo is published by Blue Ocean IT Solutions (André Basel), Auckland, New Zealand. Questions about this policy can be sent to apps@blueoceanitsolutions.co.nz.

Information the app collects

None. Recitalo does not send any information to us or to anyone else. It has no user accounts, advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking tools, and it does not use your location, contacts or device identifiers.

What is stored on your phone

The phrases you enter or import (text, pronunciation and translation), the recordings you make or import, and your playback settings are saved only in the app's private storage on your device. We cannot see or access them.

Microphone

Recitalo asks for microphone permission so you can record your own version of a line. The microphone is used only while you are recording, after you tap the record button. Recordings are saved on your phone and are never uploaded by the app.

Files, export and backup

When you import files, Recitalo reads only the files you choose with your phone's file picker. When you export a phrase set or make a backup, the app creates a .zip file and hands it to the destination you choose, such as Google Drive, OneDrive, email or a folder on your phone. Once a file leaves the app, it is handled by that service under its own privacy policy.

Google Play

If you install Recitalo from Google Play, Google may collect information about the installation and app performance (for example crash statistics) under Google's privacy policy. We only see anonymous, aggregated statistics that Google provides to developers.

Children

Recitalo is a general learning tool and is not directed at children under 13. Because the app collects no personal information, it does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data

You can delete any phrase set inside the app. Uninstalling Recitalo deletes everything it has stored on your phone. Make a backup first if you want to keep your phrases and recordings.

Your rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and similar laws elsewhere, you can ask what personal information we hold about you. For Recitalo the answer is none, but you are welcome to contact us with any question.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Recitalo changes how information is handled, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date above will change.
